Description

Pick-up is included from your city hotel for your transfer to Table Mountain, one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature and a Cape Town landmark. We ascend up the Platteklip Gorge, which is a moderate 2-3 hour hike. Don’t forget a camera and sunblock.

A well deserved packed lunch will be enjoyed on top of the mountain as we soak in the stunning panoramic views from both the front & back faces of the mountain, across the city, the ocean and the Cape Peninsula. You might spot some dassies (Rock Hyrax) who like to bask in the sun on the rocks. South Africa’s national flower, the King Protea can also be found growing in this unique biome. It’s a real treat to see these beautiful pink flowers in their natural habitat.

We descend back down the same route for approximately 1 hour.  You also have the option of taking the cable car back down (own account), the cable car rotates so you can enjoy a 360° view while descending.  A medium fitness level is required for hiking Table Mountain as the ascent is a series of steep “steps”.
