Description
Join JENMAN African Safaris on our Whale Watching tour in Cape Town. Enjoy the best whale watching in world-famous Hermanus and get close to Southern Right Whales and Dolphins!
Whale season typically runs between June and November in the Cape, and each season, large numbers of whales can be seen along the coast. The best place to see these cetacean creatures is along the Cape’s famous Whale Route, which spans the coastline passing Gordon’s Bay, Pringle Bay and Betty’s Bay en route to Hermanus.
You will pass the Harold Porter Botanical Gardens, which is renowned for its beauty and tranquility. You may even spot baboons, who call this area their home. Once in Hermanus, enjoy whale watching from the shore, or take an optional boat trip to get even closer to these remarkable creatures of the sea. Look out for the world’s only Whale Crier who blows on his unique kelp horn to alert townspeople and visitors of the position of the whales in the bay. Explore the town (lots of great shops and cafes) and after a day of scenic splendour, head back to Cape Town.
