Northern and Southern Experience

Uncover the highlights and attractions of four countries over the course of three and a half weeks on Southern African soil in a small group environment. Discover the best of Cape Town by aerial cableway as you ascend Table Mountain, a world-renowned landmark, iconic in the cityscape. A full day trip around the Cape Peninsula is also included offering scenic coastal drives and stops at various attractions along the way.

Experience an adventure filled half day canoe trip on the Orange River. Excursion to Sossusvlei and Deadvlei in the Namib Desert, spectacular red and orange dunes surrounding a clay pan which has become one of the most well-known and photographed attractions in Namibia. Intimate Botswana & Zimbabwe Encounter

Guided tour of the Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. Game driving and game activities in spectacular wildlife areas including Chobe National Park, Hwange National Park, Moremi Game Reserve and neighbouring private concessions. Two night exploration of Lake Kariba from a houseboat, including game viewing, guided walks, fishing and boat trips.

Visit the exemplary Daphne Sheldrick elephant orphanage, which is a wildlife trust focused on the protection of elephants, rhinos and other wildlife which has been operating for more than 40 years. Spot the iconic Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance of the Amboseli National Park and partake in a full day game drive in the park which is also known for its large concentration of elephants.

Tread on the traditional lands of the Maasai people, game viewing in the Masai Mara National Park. Cultural encounters – visiting a local Chagga family in Mto-wa-Mbu as well as a Masaai Boma. Explore the Ngorongoro Crater in Northern Tanzania, once a gigantic volcano, now a wildlife haven. It is the largest intact caldera in the world and is nearly three million years old. Two days spent in the Serengeti exploring the plains of a truly renowned park, home to the largest annual animal migration including over 2 million wildebeest.

Highlights of Uganda

Explore the lush forests of Kibale National Park, containing one of most varied tracts of tropical forest in Uganda. This area has a diversity of habitats due to its varied altitudes. Afternoon guided bird walk in the Bigodi Swamp. A once in a lifetime experience – Gorilla Trekking in the mountainous Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to its significant ecological importance. Tread the area which is home to nineteen southern white rhinos. The Ziwa Rhino and Wildlife Ranch is popular for rhino trekking, bird watching, nature walks and relaxation. Spend 3 days at Murchison Falls a waterfall found on the White Nile River in Uganda, it has a breath-taking scenic and morning game drives set you in pursuit searching for wildlife such as elephant, buffalo, giraffe, hartebeest and oribi.

1000 Views of Madagascar

Night walk and exploration of the Andasibe Natural Reserve which is an area rich with vegetation, an abundance of flora and fauna and home to the Indri, the largest species of lemur on the island. Explore the spectacular Ranomafana National Park, a world heritage site known for its rain forest covered hills and ample biodiversity. It hosts 12 lemur species as well as tenrecs, bats and small carnivores. Catch a glimpse of the various small industries in this developing country such as wine, beer, paper and wood carving while driving through the countryside.

Hike amongst the eroded sandstone elevations of the Isalo National Park to a natural swimming pool. Admire the ornate tombs of the Mahafaly and the Antandroy tribes on the journey to the arid southwest of Madagascar. Witness the Vezo fisherman’s way of life at Ifaty, a beach known for snorkelling, diving, boat trips and bird watching. Visit ancient and historic sites in the capital city of Antananarivo, including the Rova which was the queen’s palace.

Madagascar Northern Adventure

The Montagne d’Ambre National Park covers 18,200 hectare of a prominent volcanic massif and with its striking scenery, rainforest and waterfalls, it is one of Madagascar’s most visited natural attractions. Discover Ankarana a nature reserve with pinnacles, sacred caves, underground rivers and beautiful scenery. Nosy Be is Madagascar’s largest resort, it is known as the ‘’perfume island’’. While driving in the island you get magnificent views of large lakes, rice, pepper, coffee and cacao plantations. This is how it gets its name. Explore the majestic Nosy Komba which is the peak of the island at an altitude of 622 meters, covered by dense tropical forest and interestingly the map of the island looks like a giant turtle. Nosy Tanikely is an underwater reserve offering a rich diversity of marine life. Visit the Lokobe Reserve, a rainforest reserve that protects most of Nosy Be’s endemic vegetation. You might see lemurs, birds and chameleons.
