Celebrating 25 years!

A Trip Down Memory Lane

It is time to celebrate, so take a trip down memory lane with us as we go all the way back to those early days…

It all started with Garth Jenman’s love for discovering new destinations. In the early nineties, he would spend time at a friend’s lodge in Zimbabwe every winter for the safari season.

When the friend made Garth an offer to take over his walking safaris in Mana Pools, there was no hesitation. Mobile safaris to Victoria Falls, Botswana and Namibia were soon added to the offering.

With sheer passion, determination, and an unwavering love for Africa, Garth started CampWild Tours and Safaris in 1993. Armed with just one vehicle, he did everything from being the tour guide, to the mechanic, and the operator. But Garth’s love for adventure, nature, and Africa never wavered, and it wasn’t long before his dedication and hard work paid off. In 1998, Campwild changed to JENMAN African Safaris. And the rest as they say, is history.

JENMAN New Logo

JENMAN Logo Evolution

A few years ago, we updated our logo to better reflect who we are and what we stand for. The “E” symbolises our ExpertiseExperience, and Education.

We have the Expertise to organise successful tours and travel to Africa. We promise our guests once-in-a-lifetime Experiences they will never forget. We strive to Educate our guests about Africa and the need for conservation.

There is also a unique meaning behind the colours of the logo. The light turquoise blue represents Madagascar, the burnt orange represents East Africa, and the golden sand colour represents Southern Africa.
