Lions vs. Rhinos Netball Match

No, it’s not what you are thinking… these are the two Jenman Safaris teams that took part in an Action Netball game on Wednesday 16 March 2011 in Claremont, Cape Town. The two teams, made up of Jenman staff, decided to have some ‘good old fun’ and take each other ‘on’, on the Netball court. Action Netball works very similar to outdoor Netball, except it is played on an indoor court and is a lot faster!

The two teams of seven try to win, by scoring as many goals as possible (and Guys, no running with the ball)!

Although there were various players from Jenman who had never set foot on a netball court before, it went very well and everybody thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Some of the other Jenman staff came to support the players and we all had drinks afterward to celebrate our brilliant athleticism. Overall, it ironically was a draw (7-7) however both Team Rhino and Team Lion are convinced that it was miscalculated and that their team actually won!

Luckily, we did not have any injuries, although many complained the next day of sore joints and muscles. Despite of this, we all decided that there definitely has to be a next time when the Loins and Rhino’s will clash on the Action Netball court.
